Abstract

One of the role of room leader is as mentor. The role of mentor is expected can increase work motivation of nurse. The relationship between the role of room leader as mentor with working motivation of nurse in RSUD Soe Timor Tengah Selatan Nusa Tenggara Timur is not checked yet. This research have purpose to leam the relationship between the role as room leader of mentor with working motivation of nurse in RSUD Soe Timar Tengah Selatan Nusa Tenggara Timur. The design that is used in this research is the relationsltip research by Cross sechonal approach. As population is nurse staff in RSUD Soe Tirnor Tengah Nusa Tenggara Timur. TI1e large samples are 43 respondents. The collecting of dates are using questioner then the data is analyzed by using correlation statistic exam Spearman rho and by scoring the meaning p<0.05. The result of the research as follows: I) Openness relationship of room leader with working motivation of nurse staff; less 8 peoples (18,6%), adequate 25 (58,1%) and good 10 peoples (23,3%0. Statistic exam is obtained yield r = 0.374 and p = 0.013.2). The friendliness relationship of room leader with working motivation of nurse staff: Jess 10 peoples (23,3%), adequate 22 peoples (51 ,2%) and good 11 peoples (25,6%). The result of statistic exam is obtained yield r = 0,399 and p = 0.008), 3). The role relationship of room leader in improving with working motivation of nurse staff: less 7 peoples (16.3%0, adequate 29 peoples (67,4%0, good 7 peoples ( 16,3%). The result of statistic exam is gotten yield r = 0.486 dan p = 0.001. 1l1is case shows that there is relationship, which has meaning between the role of room leader as mentor: the openness with working motivation of nurse staff with the low correlation degree, which are meaning correlation between the role of room leader as mentor: friendLiness with working motivation of nurse staff with low correlation degree and meaning correlation between the role of room leader as mentor: in improving career with working motivation of nurse staff with adequate correlation degree. It means the role of room leader better as mentor and also tends to increase work motivation of nurse
