Abstract

Hypertension is called the silent killer because it includes the deadly disease without any symptoms in advance so that people with positive hypertension diet hypertension disobedient. Efforts to avoid the complications of hypertension by way of a healthy lifestyle with diet adherence hypertension. The purpose of the study after being given a health education group of patients with hypertension diet dutifully run. The design of this study is quasy experiment with two group pre post test design. The sample of patients with hypertension with blood pressure being in treatment groups of 12 persons and 12 persons in the control group obtained by purposive sampling technique on Glagaharum Dukuharum community health center Megaluh. Data collection using observation sheets and questionnaires, then analyzed using Mc Nemar test and Fisher Exact Test level of significant p <0.05. 10 this study, results showed there is effect of health education on adherence diet group obtained the results of p = 0.027, in the treatment group obtained the results of p = 0.016 there is a difference after being given health education, control group obtained p = 1.000 there is no difference significant. Patients with hypertension after administration of health education group no change occurred hypertension diet adherence run-learning process that may affect perceptions of hypertensive patients about diet, resulting in changes in behavior become obedient in carrying out diet hypertension.
