Abstract
Graplophyllum pic111m (L.) GrifT usually used as medicine to facilitate menstruation and hemorrhoids (BPOM, 2007) but it has poor bioavailability and solubility. Phythosome technology was developed to correct these obstacles. In a previous study, acute toxicity test of ethanol extract of G.picrum leaves has also been reported that at a dose of 2000mg I kg body weight does not cause death (Kusumawati, 20 I 7). The purpose of this research was to determine the effects or acute toxicity phytosomes of ethanol 70% extract of Grap10phyllum piclltm leaves. Based on OECD, on this test the dose used was I 00; 300; 900; and 2000 rnglkg body weight. The result of this test is that there were no deaths of an imals after all the doses were given. It was concluded that the LDso value ofphytosomc greater than 2000mg/kg body weight and can be safely admi ni stered orally without any immediate unwanted effect.
