Abstract

This study aims at analyzing and proving the effect of Individual Ability of Manager and the Role of Government on Managerial Ability of Company and Ability of Company and Business Performance at Small Furniture Entreprises in East Java The data obtained from 124 respondents ; entreprenuer of small enterprises in furniture industrial centre East Java such as: Malang, Pasuruan , Madiun, Bojonegoro. This study utilized a questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The data were then analyzed by using a Structural Equation ModeUing (SEM) through AMOS ver 4.01. The result of this study revealed that direct effect of intervariables of the whole hypoteses were significant acceptable. Therefore, all independent variables; Individual Ability of Manager and the Role of Government; significantly effected intervening variables; Managerial Ability of Company and Ability of Company; and dependent variables; Business Performance. In addition, based on the result of analysis, Individual Ability of Manager variable exhibited mor dominant effect on the Business Peformance variable than those of the Role of Government. On the other side, it was found out that the Role of Government variable exhibited more dominant effect on the Abi lity of Company than that of Individual Ability of Manager variable. It was concluded that indirect effect analysis intervariables, Individual Ability of Manager exhibited more dominant effect on the Business Performance, Managerial Ability of Company and Ability of Company than the Role of Government.
