Abstract

Probabilitas risiko yang muncul hampir di semua aktivitas perusahaan membuat perusahaan harus melakukan manajemen risiko. Hedging merupakan suatu tindakan melindungi perusahaan untuk menghindari atau mengurangi risiko kerugian atas valuta asing sebagai akibat dari terjadinya transaksi bisnis. Penelitian ini bertujuan unuk mengetahui pengaruh growth opportunity, costly external financing, leverage dan financial distress terhadap keputusan hedging dengan sampel perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2010-2014. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah model regresi probit melalui program statistik EViews. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel growth opportunity dan financial distress berpengaruh signifikan sedangkan variabel costly external financing dan leverage berpengaruh tidak signifikan.
