Abstract

The prevalence of dental problems at the age of 10-14 years age group has increased. Factors causing dental problems one of which is the level of individual dental hygiene. In addition, a group of primary school age are at risk of dental problems because of age is a change of desidual teeth becomes permanent teeth. Analyze the effectiveness of dental health media made based on the theory P - Proces, Innovation Decision Process and Technology Acceptance model of the student. This type of quasi-experimental study with a research population of the entire student class V. This study was conducted Elementary Taman Sari Probolinggo. Data collection techniques with a structured interview with the theory of step P - Process. Data were analyzed with the Mann Whitney test to determine the differences between treatment and control groups and Wilcoxon test to look at the effectiveness of media. Research shows that the choice of media is poster. Effectiveness of the media in the treatment group more effectively by involving respondents and expert review in improving knowledge, attitudes and intentions to act with ( P < 0.005 ). Media in accordance with the characteristics of the students can improve knowledge, attitude and intention to act. Media for promotion should be created by involving students in the making process. For further research in order to develop this research to the realm of action.
