Abstract
The general Hospital of Sidoarjo is a hospital which is funded by Sidoarjo Regency Government that had B non-education-accreditation. This hospital has modern and sophisticated devices and some good qualified doctors, however those all cannot guarantee the success of their services. It need to be supported by optimum nursing cares, because it is an integral part of the health cares for individual, family and society, therefore, the process of nursing cares must be oriented to the problems. The nursing cares have four steps : investigation, planning, implementation and evaluation. In the General Hospital of Sidoarjo had been found some problems in newly-birth babies cares. So that, the research of alternative solution of the problem had to be provided in this hospital immeddiately, especially in newly-birth babies cares room. The goal of this research was to analyze and to observe the implementation of newly-birth babies cares in the wards of this hospital. The population of this research were ward person and 22 nurses who work in the newly-birth babies cares room in the General Hospital of Sidoarjo. The sample of population of this research were capable respondents who were able to give some important informations. It used primary data collecting and sources which were taken from respondents through the questionnaires. The technique of data collecting that used was questionnaires. Analyzing that used was descriptive analysis and double tinier regression. These showedthat : 1) The implementation of duties in newly-nirth babies cares room in the General Hospital of Sidoarjo was bed, 2) Nurses actions of Protab Askep in newly-birth babies room in the General Hospital of Sidoarjo was unsupported, 3) Knowledge, behavior, motivation and skills (capabilities) influence the nursing cares, 4) Alternative model that used was Duties for team and Format Askep which was provided by the General Hospital of Sidoarjo Management.
