Abstract
The statement of the problem in this study is: Is there any relation between the roles of headmaster leadership (as a leader, administrator and supervisor) with the implementation of school based management in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Mambaul Ulum Mojoagung, Jombang. Based on the statement of the problem above, generally, this study is done to examine the roles of headmaster leadership (as a leader, administrator and supervisor) toward the implementation of school based management in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Mambaul Ulum Mojoagung, Jombang deeply. While for special purpose, this study is done to analyze the influence of the roles of headmaster leadership (as a leader, administrator and supervisor) toward the implementation of school based management in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Mamba'ul Ulum Mojoagung, Jombang. To solve the statement of the problem wholly and deeply, this study uses multiple regression methode in order to know the influence of resiprocal relationship between independent and dependent variables, which are the roles of headmaster leadership (as a leader, administrator and supervisor) and the implementation of school based management in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Mambaul Ulum Mojoagung, Jombang. Then the data is analized by us ing SPSS for windows programme. The result of this study is found that there is significant influence between the roles of headmaster leadership (as a leader, administrator and supervisor) toward the implementation of school based management in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Mambaul Ulum Mojoagung, Jombang. It is proved by the result of this study whic h get the coefision of determination (R2) = 0,476. It means that the ability of independent variable in affecting its relation with dependent variable is about 0,467 or it can be said that the accuracy of multiple regression comparison is able to explain the relation between the roles of headmaster leadership (as a leader, administrator and supervisor) variable toward the implementation of school based management (SBM) is about 47.6 %. And the remain is about 52.4 % influenced or explained by the other variable which is not included in the roles of headmaster leadership (as a leader, administrator and supervisor). Where as, the coefision of multiple corelation (R) = Ö 0.476 = 0.690, it means that the independent and dependent variable have firm relationship.
