Abstract

Pregnancy preparation is living healthy during pregnancy period, this should be done-prepared for about 3-4 months before pregnancy for the sake of child prosperity. The aim of this research is to know relationship between characteristics, family support and information with pregnancy preparation. This study used cross sectional. Research population were of childbearing couples who were married registerred on December 2016 – February 2017 in Puskesmas Wonokusumo Surabaya. Research sample was 39 respondents who matched of inclusive criteria and used quota sampling. Fisher’s exact test was used to examine the relationship between independent and dependet variables between age, education, occupation, family income, family support, information with preparation. Results: 1) Age with preparation is no relationship (p=0.313) . 2) Education with preparation is a relationship (p=0.016). 3) Occupation with preparation is no relationship (p=0.0432). 4) Family income with preparation is a relationship (p=0.044). 5) Family support with preparation is no relationship (p=0.563). 6) Information with preparation is no relationship (p=0.078).
