Abstract

Job Stress is a where a person faced with the demands of the job which is beyond his ability. Job stress is a begining from disease that can caused by endurance decrease.The purpose of this researches is to study the factors related to Job stress in emergency room of Dr. Iskak Hospital, Tulungagung. This was analytical research with cross sectional approach. The study were population 19 nurses.The independent variable were individual characteristics like age, gender, education, empoyment and occupational factors like leadership syestem, relationship between cowokers. The dependent variable was job stress. Data collected by self administered questioner. Data analysis which use is Chi-Square is to see the relationship between variable with meaning level of α= 0,05. The result of the research showed that eight nurses (42,1%) experienced job stress. The factors that related with job stress are marital status (p=0,045) and leadership system (p=0,041) in hospital while other factors only like age (p=1,000), gender (p=1,000), education (p=1,000), empoyment (p=0,170) and relationship between cowokers (p=0,164). Based on the research, it is advisable to refresh the mind and relive the burden of stress with recreation and transparancy between leaders and subordinates by create a forum which can evaluate the performance of leaders and subordinates
