Abstract

Undergraduate students are community that is vulnerable to stress, especially for undergraduate student who is on their final year is write bachelor thesis or final year project. This study aims to determine the factors that cause stress in student who work on their bachelor thesis or final year project in the empirical study of the last five years. Methods: The research design was literature review, with a final undergraduate student as population, the keywords are biological factors (health conditions), psychological factors (self-concept, motivation, and locus of control), as well as sociocultural factors (age, gender, and social support). Based on a search in the publication database of Scopus, Science Direct, and ProQuest, a total of twelve articles that met the search requirements were selected and screened through titles, abstracts and full text.. Results: The results showed that the factors that caused stress in thesis students were biological factors (health conditions), psychological factors (self-concept, motivation, and locus of control), and socio-cultural factors (age, gender, and social support). Conclusion: Undergraduate student who work on the thesis, especially female, who have poor health conditions, negative self-concept, lack of motivation, lack of locus of control and social support tend to experience more stress.
