Abstract

Translation is a mental process that involves translating the meaning of a linguistic discourse from one language to another. It is the process of converting linguistic entities from one language to equivalents in another. The act of translating a text from one language to another is known as translation . The source language (SL) is the language that has to be translated, whereas the target language is the language that needs to be translated into or arrived at (TL). Both the source and target languages must be well-versed in the translator's skills and knowledge.
