Abstract

To make a good story book, the writers must know what is the criteria and language features were used in writing storybook. In writing storybook, in this case making picture book, the important thing is that the writer has to fulfill the picture book purpose meaning that the story book has to be suitable for the targeted readers especially young children. There are fourth criteria for writing storybook. There is packaging, character of the story, the illustration, and the language used. Writing storybook is using a narrative text. There are five stages of writing narrative text. Meanwhile there are five criteria of languages features in writing narrative text.
