Abstract

The final of this research are (1) to know the difference of the potential of isolat in degrading oil, (2) to know the difference of the result of biodegradation in each kind of oil, (3) to know the interaction of kind r f oil and kind of mold isolat in the process of oil degradation. This is a laboratory experimental research using Factorial design. The data is anaiized using two ways Anava clasification with interaction. This research started with the isolations of mold taken from Surabaya beach. The isolations were done is two ways : using agar medium and using broth medium. To test the potential of oil degradation broth mineral and oil media are used. After making the isolate starter mold was submerged in the biodegradation medium again. Oil Content Meter is used to measure the level of oil degradation. The result of this research includes : 1. the isolated mold are Aspez•gi llus, Fu sa.z• i um .. Cephalosporium .. Cladospo1•ium, and Penicillium. 2. the result of the test of oil degradation potential is as follows Fusarium, lubricant 16 %, gasoil 35 %, and kerosen 31 %; Cephalosporium lubricant 13,8 %, gasoil 39,8 %, and kerosen 43,6 %; and combined isolate, lubricant 16,8 %, gasoil 45,8 %, and kerosen 47,2 %.
