Abstract
Learninng a language, especially a language which is being used in a certain ethnic group is certainly interesting not only the language and its relation with their society but also the structural aspect of language such as phonology, morphology and etc are unique. Surabaya Javanese people often express an idea of continuous action by reduplicaion the stem in which the process of reduplcation causes a phonological change in the stem.
