Abstract

In a community in which two languages or more are used in communication. the speakers do not obviously use all languages in all situations. One language will be used in one occasion and an other will be used in other occasions. so they should be able to choose the most appropriate language according to the circumstance. Departing from this reality the writer wants to know what factors influence their choice. For this purpose, the writer has observed the students of SHA I Ponorogo. who are bilingual. to get some data that is needed to discuss this problem. In this case the writer has distributed questionaires done observation,and interviewed many informants to get more valid data.
