Abstract

Prejudice is negative attitudes against certain ethnic groups and their members. It refers to the negative feelings to the members of particular groups, such as the blacks. The prejudice of white people toward the blacks is interesting topic to study because it may bring the readers' awareness to open up their mind in response the impact of the whites prejudice toward the blacks Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the literary works that tries to portray the prejudice of the whites. Prejudice of the white people is interesting to be analyzed because it can gives an understanding about the meaning of life, especially in respecting and living with other people from different races.
