Abstract

this study present the response of fisheries management to the extreme climate affecting marine fisheries in jember district .Extrime wather LA NINA and EL NINO Inerasing seawave. changing wild fist papolation. and causing increasing costs for fisherman. Quantitative methodology in this resiarch using data from maritime ministry the national oceanic and atmospheric administrtion, BMKG and primary data this study sugests that responses to Extreme climatic influences on fisheries inelude (1)establishing an Carly warning syistem by connecting fisheries agencies and marine researeh institutions to assist decision makers in performingtime-adaptive measures, (2) temporarily suspending subsidy activity to help managing cost in extreme weather, (3) Developing research technology for managing extreme weather events
