Abstract

Cross-breeding between Madura cattle and exotic breeds occurs in Madura area. The reality in the field shows that the cross-breeding occurs between Limousincattle and Madura cattle and the result of the breeding is called as Madrasin cattle. FSH function in female mammals stimulates the growth and maturation of de Graaf follicles in the ovary.The Purpose of this research was find out the Folicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) gene profile of the cross breeding between Madura cattle and Limousin cattle (Madrasin). Sample in the form of cattle blood for this research was obtained from 14 Madrasincattles in the area of Bangkalan, Madura, East Java. DNA extraction was performed then to provide the result for PCR RFLP, wich indicate that Madrasin cattle’s has FSH profile 313 base pair fragment length and the RFLP result indicate that Madrasin cattle’s FSH genetic was cut off into 255 base pair, 237 base pair, and 150 base pair.
