Abstract
Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb.) and mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia Linn.) are medicinal plants which have a medicinal function as an antihyperlipidemic. Realizing the potential combination of both plants as antihyperlipidemic medicine, it need to develop good phytopharmaceutical product of the combined temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza roxb.) extract and mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia linn.) extract. The aim of this research is to investigate the physical quality of the combine mengkudu extract and temulawak extract capsule dosage form. In this research, every capsule contains of temulawak extract equal to 100 mg and mengkudu extract equal to 200 mg. Then physical quality such as test for uniformity of weight, uniformity of medical content, and test for disintegration can be tested. At test for uniformity weight, the average percentage deviation of the weight of capsule’s content is 0,08% and there is not any deviation above 7,5% to 15%. For content of medicament, the average content for curcumin is 94,33% with SD 14,15 and the average content for scopoletin is 109,98% with SD 7,82. The average result of test for disintegration is 387 ± 5,20 seconds or 6 minutes and 27 seconds.
