Abstract

From the previous chapter, the writer can conclude that she applied transediting strategy in translating online news for Tempo English website. As an intern translator, the writer asked to do both translating and editing for the news, therefore the writer found the best strategy to serve good news contents. The first step that she did was reading the whole text from the source news and tried to rewrite it into the target news. The writer applied four procedures of trans-editing strategy such as restructuring, substitution, addition, and omission. The writer also had the freedom to do the whole editing including the headline, thus four strategies above were needed and helped the writer a lot during her internship at the Tempo English section.
