Abstract
Dalam percakapan sehari-hari, pembicara biasanya akan sengaja melanggar aturan dalam percakapan. Aturan percakapan, sebagaimana dinyatakan oleh Grice 1989, disebut Cooperative Principles. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis maksim yang melanggar dengan teori prinsip kerja sama Grice dan juga alasan dua karakter utama melanggar maksim oleh teori fungsi ilokusi oleh Leech (1983 di Film Shazam! (2019). Analisis tersebut berdasarkan data percakapan yang dilakukan oleh kedua karakter utama yaitu Billy Batson dan Freddy Freeman. Inti dari penelitian ini adalah ucapan-ucapan yang diambil oleh karakter utama dari naskah film itu sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis data. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari percakapan terpilih dari kedua karakter utama, mereka melanggar semua jenis maksim, yaitu quantity, quality, manner dan relations. Kemudian dari empat alasan untuk melanggar maksim, hanya ada tiga alasan yang dapat ditemukan, yaitu competitive, collaborative dan conflictive.
