Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh research and development terhadap kinerja perusahaan dan apakah financial leverage memoderasi pengaruh research and development terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel perusahaan manufaktur di Indonesia yang terdaftar di BEI dari tahun 2015 hingga 2019. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dan metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa research and development berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan dan financial leverage memperlemah pengaruh positif research and development terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Terdapat variabel kontrol pada penelitian ini yaitu, ukuran perusahaan, dan likuiditas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan.
