Abstract

Latar Belakang: Stroke iskemik terjadi karena adanya penyumbatan pada pembuluh darah. Fase akut pada stroke berlangsung sesudah 12 jam – 14 hari pasca onset. Kekuatan motorik saat fase akut merupakan suatu prediktor yang kuat dalam menentukan prognosis pasien. Jumlah penderita stroke di Indonesia menduduki peringkat pertama terjadi sebagai Negara terbanyak yang mengalami stroke di seluruh Asia. Data nasional Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa stroke merupakan penyebab kematian tertinggi, yaitu 15,4%. Sekitar 87% kejadian stroke merupakan stroke iskemik. Contoh penanganan fisioterapi yang dapat diberikan adalah PNF, Bobath, early mobilitation, mirror therapy, dan pasif ROM.
