Abstract

Killing behavior refers to abnonnal behavior that drives someone to kill someone else. The writer often calls it murder. This act has existed in our life for a very long time. The writer has got used to find human killing another one just to catch what she/he wants or because some problems within them can not be resolved. The writer frequently find this phenomenon in big cities that are full of chaos, as reflected in some cases of murder on television every single day. This thesis will reveal this phenomenon through a literary discussion as the issue also appears in one of Dan Brown best novels, Angels and Demons. The main focus of the analysis is the killing behavior itself, which presented in the character of Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca. Regarding the theory used in the analysis, Freud's theory of psychoanalysis is best applied to uncover Carlo's behavior and character.
