Abstract
Virginia Woolf is one of the female English writers who is well known for her great works. She writes several novels that become the favorite for her readers. Her novels are often linked with her private life. Mrs. Dalloway is one of her novels that also contains some aspects of her life. She expresses her ideas, feelings, and thoughts in the content of the story. Mrs. Dalloway was written during her years following her mother's death. The readers can feel the strong influence of Woolf's psychological experiences in the novel, especially on the characterization. The analysis of this novel will focus on the characterizations and life in the eyes of Mrs. Dalloway and Septimus Smith, the characters in the novel.
