Abstract

Autism is a sindrome where the social development, linguistic ability and careness to the surrounds deviation occurred, so that a kid like Adam live in his own world. That is why any therapy must be taken in order to avoid them from being in a more isolated condition from outside world. By taking some therapies or any of right excitement like "Brain Gym" will increase their social ability. The study goals is to take a look at Brain Gym effects to the autis kid social development at autician school "Wishing Kids" Blitar. The study method using pre-experimental. The study was held at Autician School (a special school for an autic kid) "Wishing Kid", Blitar from February 2"d, until February 161 h 2008 by amount of responders were 12 peoples. The independent variabels was Brain Gym and Dependent V ariabel was social development. Data collecting was taken by obsevation. It has been analysed using The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with mean rate pat~ 0,05. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test shows a significant result, which is p= 0,002, it means there are some effects on Brain Gym to the social development so the hypothesizing could be accepted. _ According to the results that shown above, we concluded that there was an effect to social development on autician kid that produced from Brain Gym that signed with the ability of contacting eyes, the ability in social interaction, not be offish and able to braiding good connection to the others
