Abstract
Penelitian ini fokus membahas representasi istri dalam tokoh Ainun dalam film Habibie & Ainun. Penelitian ini mengambil beberapa scene yang menampilkan tokoh Ainun sebagai seorang istri, dan kemudian menganalisisnya. Tipe penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan unit analisis berupa teks – teks yang muncul pada tokoh Ainun sebagai seorang istri. Peneliti menganalisis teks - teks tersebut dengan menggunakan metode semiotik John Fiske dan membagi analisis kedalam level realitas, representasi dan juga ideologi.Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sosok istri dalam film Habibie & Ainun direpresentasikan sebagai perempuan yang masih menganut budaya patriarki. Sosok Ainun digambarkan sebagai sosok yang tidak lepas dari rumah sebagai wilayah domestik. Sosok Ainun digambarkan sebagai seorang istri yang ideal dalam budaya patriarki, dimana status sosial dan ekonomi keluarga tidak mempengaruhi kewajibannya dalam wilayah domestik. Translation: This research focuses discusses wife representation in character Ainun in the film Habibie & Ainun. This research takes some scenes that showing characters Ainun as a wife, and then analyze it. Type of this research is qualitative descriptive, with the unit analysis is form of text that appears on Ainun as a wife. Researcher analized the text using the method of semiotic John Fiske and divide the analysis into the level reality, representation, and ideology. This research shows that the figure of the wife in the film Habibie & Ainun represented as a woman who still adhered to a patriarchal culture. Ainun is a figure potrayed as someone who can not separated from the homes as domestic teritory. Ainun depicted as an ideal wife in a patriarchal culture, where social and economic status of the family does not affect the obligation in the domestic area
