Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between job stress and job productivity employees of PT. Putradjaja Tirta Kencana. Job stress can be experienced by the employee in performing his job. The cause of job stress are intrinsic job factors, the role of individuals in organizations, career development, relationships within the organization, organizational structure, relationships outside the organization or work, and individual characteristics. stress is negative, which can evolve towards decrease in work performance, increased work absenteeism and accident trends. Similarly, if a lot of labor within the organization or company experiencing job stress, then the productivity and health of the organization will be disrupted. Research conducted on employees of the production part at PT. Putradjaja Tirta Kencana. The study population numbered 50 people and for sample as 45 people. Data collection tool in the form of job stress questionnaire consisting of 48 grains and work productivity recording sheets for one week. The data were analyzed with statistical techniques of Pearson Product Moment correlation, with the help of statistical program SPSS version 16. From the analysis of research data obtained by the correlation between job stress with work productivity of 0.000 with r value of -0.572. This indicates that there is a significant correlation between job stress and productivity of the employees in PT. Putradjaja Tirta Kencana and its relationship upside down so the higher the level of stress, the lower the level of production.
