Abstract

Abstract Patient safety is the disciplines in health care that has emerged along with the evolution of the complexity of the health care system so that it has an impact on increasing the number of injuries to patients. Sanjiwani Hospital needs to strive for patient safety goals. In the implementation of all patient safety goals, all of them are constrained by the inability to socialize and increase the knowledge of health workers so that it is necessary to carry out and evaluate the results of increasing their knowledge to improve patient safety. The training is conducted once through the provision of materials and case studies. Participants' knowledge was measured twice, namely pre and posttest. Statistical tests were conducted to determine the increase in knowledge scores from the pretest and posttest with the Wilcoxon Rank test. Descriptively, the average score has increased, which at the pretest by 57.8 and at the posttest 68.2. In the highest category the pretest score is sufficient with 61 respondents (48.4%) while the highest posttest score is in the good category. Statistic test using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test and obtained a p value of 0.001 so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the knowledge of the respondents before and after being given the training. The implementation of patient safety goal training has been carried out well. There is a statistically significant increase in knowledge. Therefore, training on patient safety targets at the Sanjiwani Hospital succeeded in achieving the goal of increasing knowledge.
