Abstract
This research aims to determine the forms of exploitation carried out by women in the novel Aroma Karsa by Dewi Lestari and Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer. This research used comparative literary approach and echofeminism theory by Francoide de Eubonne to find the differences and similarities between two novels to discover how women are represented through their actions written by two authors from different countries. The results of this research was there are several actions taken by women to protect nature, including: hiding information about an extinct plant, encouraging the offspring to find the original source of the plant, initiating and conducting dangerous expeditions, taking enormous risks to be able to save the environment. However, those actions are used to exploit the nature so that it showed the genuine nature of women in the novels who are greedy, selfish and detrimental to others.
