Abstract

In every teaching and learning activity, motivation has a crucial role in learning achievement. Students with high learning motivation will have the desire to achieve optimal learning achievement. High or low achievement in learning correlates with how to foster understanding to maintain high learning motivation. This study aims to test and analyze whether the emotional intelligence variable moderates the effect of the full-day school learning method on the learning motivation of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Plemahan, Kediri. This research involved 160 respondents with quantitative approach methods. The data obtained will be analyzed using multiple linear analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of full-day school learning methods on student motivation. Furthermore, the multiple linear regression analysis with emotional intelligence as a moderator variable, showed that the emotional intelligence variable succeeded in strengthening the effect of full-day school learning methods on student motivation.
