Abstract

Awareness of dental health care is needed in order to prevent severe tooth disease that can lead into tooth extraction. The purpose of this research was to improve filling treatment in Sawahan Health Center. The research was observational with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at Sawahan Health Center Surabaya. The sample was 72 people taken by accidental sampling method.The results showed that people who used dental health services were the elderly, women and married. The results showed that most respondents had good knowledge, positive value and attitude of dental care.The results showed that the income of respondents mostly between Rp 1,500,000 to Rp 3,000,000. Respondents mostly paid without insurance. Most respondents lived within the distance of 1 kilometer from Sawahan Health Center.The results showed that dental extraction. The results of the analysis of the satisfaction of the respondents indicated that the majority of respondents (over 50 %) were satisfied or very satisfied with the facilities. The results also explained that more than 50 % of respondents were satisfied and very satisfied with the quality of services includes skills, friendliness, and doctor emphaty. Recommendations obtained based on this research are providing information by dental health education; using variety of media health promotion to attract people; and improving quality of service quality of dental care.
