Abstract
Human resources play an important role in supporting a company. Various attempts were made to improve employee performance, one of which was through the application of AMO Theory including the ability, motivation, and opportunities that provided by the company for employees. This study aims to look at the effect of AMO Theory as a whole on the performance of employees of PT. XYZ through job satisfaction. The method used in this research is quantitative. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument that was distributed to a number of samples. Through calculations with the Slovin formula, from a total of 167 employees as the study population, a sample of 118 employees was obtained as research respondents. Data were analyzed using SEM technique with the help of IBM SPSS AMOS. The results found that of the overall AMO Theory, only partially the ability had an effect on employee performance. The rest, motivation and opportunities were found to have no effect on employee performance. While job satisfaction was found unable to act as a mediator who mediates each AMO Theory on employee performance.
