Abstract
Novel ialah salah satu bentuk karya sastra yang berisi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, pemikiran-pemikiran dan semua aspek kehidupan. Introspeksi diri adalah salah satu aspek kehidupan yang bisa ditemukan dalam lingkup yang luas pada sebuah_novel. Novel seperti itu bisa dianalisa dengan teori struktural yang mengan alisa novel sebagai satu otonomi. Teori ini mencakup elemen intern al pada sebuah novel, yaitu plot, penokohan dan latar. Novel ini juga bisa dianalisa dengan pendekatan filosofi yang membahas arti, proses dan pentingnya introspeksi diri.
